This tutorial will guide you on how to install FreeBSD in virtual machine.

You will be prompted with Keyboard Selection. Select your desired keyboard layout.

Next you will be presented with Set Hostname. Set your hostname. You can follow mine for example.

Then you will be prompted with Distribution Select. You can choose to select all.

Next you will be prompted with Partitioning. Select Auto (UFS) for now.

Select Entire Disk.

Select MBR for now.

You will be presented with final layout. Hit Finish.

Hit Commit. Installation should start by now.

Then you will be prompted to set root password. Set your password, then you will be prompted Network Configuration. Select OK.

Next configure IPv4 for interface you have selected earlier, then configure DHCP. It should prompt you to configure IPv6. You can select No. You should see Resolver Configuration. Leave it untouched.

Next you will need to set Time Zone configuration. Select accordingly. Then you should see System Configuration. Leave it untouched.

Next you will be prompted with System Hardening. Select all.

Add new Username. When you are prompted Inviteinto other groups? type wheel and set password accordingly.

You will be presented with Final Configuration page. Exit and Hit No for any manual configuration and reboot your virtual machine.
